The COVID-19 global pandemic has propelled telehealth to the forefront of clinical care. How will graduate medical education evolve to prepare clinicians for the “new normal” of telehealth and virtual medicine?

To address these and other topics, McGraw Hill Professional is sponsoring this exclusive telehealth roundtable hosted by Dr. Robert Wachter, Professor and Chair of the Department of Medicine at UCSF. This free event will bring together a panel of prominent medical educators on the vanguard of telemedicine, including:

  • Shruti Chandra, MD
  • Vineet Arora, MD, MAPP
  • Abraham Verghese, MD, MACP
  • John D. Halamka, MD, MS

The topics they'll cover include:

  • What are the key skills for telehealth, and how should they be taught?
  • Telehealth and virtual care: how should GME leaders and institutions adapt to an evolving clinical care environment?
  • How telehealth and virtual care will change the clinician-patient relationship (and is it all bad)?
  • Telehealth hit its tipping point with COVID-19. What’s next and how will it change the training environment?

A Q&A with Dr. Wachter and the panelists will conclude this timely event.
