Dana Thimons is a Librarian in the McGraw Hill User Services department. Prior to joining McGraw Hill, Dana has worked as a health sciences librarian in academic and hospital libraries. Additionally, she completed a one-year fellowship in knowledge management at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Dana earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Health Law from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Teri Shors has been a member of the Department of Biology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh since 1997, where she has received several university awards, including a distinguished teaching award, two endowed professorships and a Distinguished Alumni Award from the Department of Biological Sciences at St. Cloud State University. Before teaching at UW Oshkosh, she was a postdoctoral fellow in the Laboratory of Viral Diseases at the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Shors’ passion lies in microbiology and virology education. In addition to authoring Understanding Viruses, 3e, she authored Encounters in Virology and co-authored The Microbial Challenge, 3e and AIDS: The Biological Basis, 5e. She has contributed to a variety of other texts scientific papers and reviews for McGraw Hill's AccessScience.
Ashley Sowa is a digital platform trainer on McGraw-Hill's User Services team. She has served as a STEM librarian at a variety of institutions, including at an academic engineering library, a corporate R&D center library, and a public library. Ashley earned her MLIS from University of Pittsburgh and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
