Dana Thimons is a librarian on the McGraw Hill Customer Success team. Prior to joining McGraw Hill, Dana has worked as a health sciences librarian in academic and hospital libraries. Dana earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Health Law from Nova Southeastern University.
Wesley Holloway is a Customer Success Librarian at McGraw Hill. He served as a library specialist and health sciences librarian with the University of Tennessee for four years. Wesley earned his MLS from Indiana University and is dedicated to user education.
Ashley Weinheimer is a Customer Success Librarian at McGraw Hill. She has served as a STEM librarian at a variety of institutions, including at an academic engineering library, a corporate R&D center library, and a public library. Ashley earned her MLIS from University of Pittsburgh and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
Dave K. Adams, S.E. is a principal associate with BWE in San Diego, CA and is an adjunct professor at the University of California, San Diego. He is a member of the California Building Standards Commission Structural Design and Lateral Forces Code Advisory Committee and is the author of the Structural Engineering SE All-in-One Exam Guide, The Structural Engineer’s Professional Training Manual, and Ethics in Civil and Structural Engineering. He teaches seminars for the American Society of Civil Engineers.
He regularly designs and details structures of various materials and collaborates with other engineers and draftspersons. Dave also investigates structural failures or damage for a variety of building types and has written comprehensive reports to summarize findings and retrofit recommendations.
Dr. Mahamid is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a structural Engineering consultant for multiple structural engineering firms. He worked as a structural engineer at GRAEF and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in Chicago.
His designs include a wide variety of projects, including healthcare, commercial, residential, industrial, and high-rise buildings located in the U.S., Europe, Middle East, and China. Solid experience in various building materials, including concrete, steel, wood, and masonry add to his extensive skill set. While at GREAF and SOM, he also held the position of Adjunct Professor at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Illinois Institute of Technology, and University of Illinois at Chicago.
Clifford J. (Cliff) Schexnayder was an eminent scholar at the Del E. Webb School of Construction, Arizona State University from 1994-2003. He holds BSCE and MSCE degrees from Georgia Tech and a PhD from Purdue University.
Cliff served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers beginning in 1967. His last assignment with the Corps was as executive director, directorate of military programs, in the office of the chief of engineers. After retiring from that post, he entered academia. He began his teaching career at Louisiana Tech University and has taught construction engineering at Arizona State University and as a visiting professor at Virginia Tech, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the Universidad de Piura and Ricardo Palma Universidad in Peru, and the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
In the private sector, Cliff has served as chief engineer and officer of the corporation of Nello L. Teer Company in Durham, NC. In 2012, he was honored by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) with the Outstanding Projects and Leaders (OPAL) Award – Education. He is a co-author of two textbooks, Construction Planning, Equipment, and Methods and Construction Management Fundamentals.
